The Position

A healthier future. That’s what drives us.

The Evidence Operations Manager (EOM) provides operational expertise and oversight to the Canadian affiliate's research portfolio to ensure the successful, timely execution of strategic, innovative evidence. The EOM oversees and manages the operational implementation of all supported studies (including Investigator Initiated Studies), Managed and Funded Non-Interventional Studies, Scientific Credibility and RWE studies in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines (e.g. AMG, MPG, ICH / GCP etc.) as well as applicable Roche SOPs. As a key partner with your therapeutic area team, you provide portfolio oversight and strategic insights to maximize the feasibility and impact of these activities.

The Opportunity:

  • End-to-End Operational Ownership: Lead assigned evidence-generation studies and programs, taking full accountability for delivering operational milestones on time, within budget, scope, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Trial Management & Platform Tracking: Manage day-to-day operational elements—including IMP management, budget oversight, and key milestone tracking—ensuring trial management databases and tracking tools are maintained accurately in real time.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Oversight: Partner with external sponsors, research sites, and vendor partners to ensure quality deliverables that comply with agreed budgets, ICH-GCP standards, local regulations, and Roche SOPs while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Strategic Input & Feasibility: Provide operational expertise to Medical Affairs strategy hubs during the conceptualization, feasibility, start-up, and conduct phases of evidence-generation activities.
  • Process Excellence & Innovation: Continuously evaluate study workflows to identify efficiencies, solve complex operational challenges, and contribute to overall clinical operations excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for assigned studies, building and maintaining collaborative, high-trust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Who you are:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a medical or science-related discipline required (Master’s degree in Science or Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research preferred), with a minimum of 2–4 years of experience in clinical research (interventional trials or RWD/RWE) or the broader health industry.
  • Project & Process Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and drive deliverables on target, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong working knowledge of clinical trial management operations, including ICH-GCP standards and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Agility & Problem-Solving: Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a proven ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and implement solutions-focused approaches.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Exceptional customer focus with strong communication and presentation skills, capable of building collaborative working relationships across cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

  • High proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; French language skills are considered a strong asset.
  • Technical & AI Competency: Strong digital literacy with proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace platforms, clinical data management systems, and an openness to leveraging emerging digital/AI tools to optimize workflows.
  • Therapeutic Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with key therapeutic areas relevant to Roche’s portfolio
  • Project Management & Strategic Alignment: Advanced proficiency in strategic project oversight, with a proven track record of translating overarching medical goals into structured, execution-ready operational plans.
  • Advanced Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to influence without direct authority, navigate difficult conversations effectively, lead complex negotiations, and consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience to internal and external partners.
