Event Coordinator – Full Time

Reporting to the Manager of Experiences, the Events Coordinator will be responsible for working collaboratively across the organization to lead signature and community events in support of Easter Seals Alberta, to reach revenue targets and to meet the demand of supports for clients of Easter Seals Alberta.

Responsibilities
Event Coordination & Logistics
  • Lead the planning and execution of Easter Seals Alberta events, managing timelines, logistics, budgets, vendors, and event-day operations.
  • Coordinate internal teams, volunteers, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver successful events and exceptional participant experiences.
  • Oversee on-site event operations, resolve issues, and represent Easter Seals Alberta during assigned events.
  • Implement event safety and risk management procedures in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Conduct post-event reporting, evaluations, and debriefs to support continuous improvement.
  • Support third-party fundraising initiatives and organizational representation at community events.
Sponsorship Support
  • Support the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of event sponsors and donors.
  • Coordinate sponsor benefits, recognition, communications, and fulfillment activities to ensure sponsorship commitments are delivered effectively.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with sponsors, donors, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate sponsorship records and support post-event stewardship and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or certificate in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of event coordination, event management, fundraising event, or related experience, with demonstrated success managing multiple projects and events simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience providing exceptional customer service while managing event logistics, stakeholder relationships, and on-site challenges.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and represent Easter Seals Alberta professionally at events and community functions.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
Schedule

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, primarily from the Easter Seals Alberta office. While the majority of work is completed during regular business hours, this role requires flexibility to support event delivery throughout the year, including occasional evening and weekend work.

The successful candidate will be required to travel within Southern Alberta and provide on-site support for Easter Seals Alberta events.

  • In-office role with travel to other locations as required.
  • Successful police information and vulnerable sector check required.
