Job Description:
  • 15-Month Contract opportunity

Reporting to the AVP, CXO Strategy and Business Insights, the Events & Communication Manager leads a variety of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events for the CXO, ensuring they meet business objectives, quality standards, and engagement goals. The role involves managing event logistics, producing signature events, collaborating with stakeholders and vendors, and working closely with marketing, HR, communications, AV services, and multimedia teams.

What will you do?
Communications
  • Drive CXO change management, communications, and events
  • Maintain relationships with Corporate Communications
Events
  • Manage all aspects of events, including planning, programming, budgeting, vendor contracts, attendee management, and post-event reporting
  • Lead high-complexity events such as Town Halls and AMAs, ensuring seamless execution
  • Incorporate innovative engagement strategies and leverage industry networks for external speakers and creative talent
  • Administer event expenses, billing, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure adherence to policies and best practices
  • Lead initiatives to improve resources, practices, and processes
What do you need to succeed?
  • Experience in meeting and event production for virtual and in-person audiences
  • Proven ability to manage partners, vendors, and internal teams
  • Self-starter with initiative and confidence in decision-making
  • Passion for creative, innovative experiences and awareness of industry trends
  • Ability to see the big picture and proactively solve issues
  • Track record in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Advanced technological skills, including MS Office, CRM systems, graphics, and web platforms
  • Experience in budget management and expense reconciliation
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
Preferred skills:
  • Certified Meeting Professional designation (asset)
  • Knowledge of Cvent and Wrike (asset)
  • Understanding of industry-related contracts and terminology
  • Involvement in industry associations
