National Toronto has an opportunity available for an Event Specialist to help support the growth of our organization. The successful candidate will provide administration and logistical support to the events department. WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Master procedures, standards, and training programs.
  • Provide welcoming, friendly, and courteous service to guests.
  • Control costs while maintaining value and satisfaction.
  • Manage inquiries, client contracts, venue walk-throughs, and site visits.
  • Develop relationships with clients to increase revenue and repeat business.
  • Oversee training and performance of Event Assistant(s).
  • Plan and design events.
  • Source products and services to enhance events.
  • Coordinate with Business Development and Sales on client execution.
  • Maintain accurate and updated organizational calendars.
  • Ensure client needs are met and relay feedback to operations.
  • Provide event quotes and renew client contracts.
  • Support clients via email, phone, or onsite.
  • Organize client appreciation activities and maintain workflow calendars.
  • Assist with sales, marketing, and reporting as needed.
  • Handle financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures and Health & Safety protocols.
  • Represent the company positively within and outside the organization.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required.
WHAT YOU HAVE
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Excellent English writing skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with staff, clients, and vendors.
  • Discretion and judgment with confidential matters.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
