Job summary

Sword Security in Hamilton is recruiting Seasonal Event Security Guards to help create a safe, enjoyable concert environment. Join a front line team that enforces venue rules and supports guests.

We offer flexible, pick-your-own schedule with part-time/seasonal hours. Candidates should have Ontario security experience, valid licences, strong communication, and weekend availability. Salary is $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year’s security experience in Ontario
• Valid Security licence, valid First Aid cert, and Smart Serve licence
• Outstanding communication skills
• Passion for working with others to deliver a great event experience
• Ability to work weekends
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• Positive welcoming attitude in role
• French language fluency an advantage

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, exits, and crowd movement and behaviour
• Conduct bag checks and metal detector screenings
• Enforce venue rules, ticketing policies, and security procedures with professionalism
• Provide assistance to guests with directions, lost items, or inquiries
• Maintain clear communication via radios with security team and event control
• Flexible working arrangements; select shifts that work best for you

• Maintain clear communication via radios or other devices with the security team and event control
• Flexible working arrangements, select the shifts that work best for you

• Part-Time/Seasonal hours

Key requirements

• A minimum of 1 year’s security experience in the Ontario security sector
• Hold a Valid Security licence, a valid First Aid Cert, a Smart Serve Licence
• Outstanding communication skills
• Have a passion for working with others to deliver a great event experience
• The ability to work weekends
• Ability to work and be on your feet for up to 10 hours
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• Bring a positive welcoming attitude to your role
• French language fluency an advantage
