Job summary

Redstone Agency Inc. in Toronto is seeking an experienced Event Manager to own the full event lifecycle for in-person, hybrid and virtual conferences.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Events, this role leads design, logistics, vendor management and post-event reporting to ensure engaging experiences for clients and attendees. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of full-scope event planning, a bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field, and strong client relationship skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Communications, Not-for-Profit Management, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of full-scope event planning experience with large, complex events.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full event lifecycle from concept to post-event reporting.
  • Lead event design, logistics, vendor management and timelines.
  • Manage client communications, sponsors and committees.
  • Identify improvements and drive innovation for future events.
  • Mentor junior planners and support a high-performance team.
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure seamless delivery.

Your Role in Our Journey:

TheEvent Manager bringsa high levelof strategic thinking, experience, and leadership to event planning, andis responsible forthe full event lifecycle.Reporting to the Team Lead, Events, this roleis responsible forowning events(in-person, hybrid and virtual)from concept to completion, including debrief and post-reporting stages.TheEvent Manager is expectedto lead event design, offer strategic solutions and continuouslyidentifyareas for improvement and innovation.Your work will directly support our clients' goals, creating meaningful, engaging experiences for attendees and stakeholders alike.


Your role in action:


  • Client Relationship Management:Builds and manages strong relationships with clients, vendors, sponsors, and committees. Leads client communications with confidence, offering proactive advice and strategicexpertise. Ensures alignment on goals, expectations, and communication methods;

  • Event Planning & Execution:Leads the full event cycle from concept to completion, includinglogistics, vendor management, and post-event reporting. Drives timelines, tracks milestones, and ensures the delivery of engaging, high-quality events;

  • Vendor & Partner Management:Negotiates and manages vendor and venue partnerships to align with event goals. Anticipates potential risks and develops contingency plans to ensure seamless execution;

  • Strategic Insight & Continuous Improvement:Analyzes event outcomes toidentifyopportunities for growth and innovation. Develops and implements plans to elevate future experiences and strengthen client satisfaction;

  • Process & Operational Excellence:Refines internal tools, templates, and workflows to support consistency and efficiency. Ensures critical documentation is captured andmaintainedacross all projects;

  • Team Mentorship & Development:Mentors junior planners and contributes to a collaborative, high-performance team environment. Promotes knowledge sharing, accountability, and continuous learning; and

  • Innovation & Problem Solving:Brings creative thinking to event design and execution. Anticipates challenges, provides effective solutions, and embracesnew trendsand technologies to enhance event delivery.


You’llThrive in thisRole if:


  • You have aBachelor’sdegree or diploma in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Communications, Not-for-Profit Management, or a related field;

  • You have 3-5+ years of relevant, full-scope event planning experience which includes planning, executing, and delivering on complex, large scale, high attendeeconferencesand events.


SeriousBonusPoints if:


  • You have experience working with association management companies, or agencies; and/or

  • You have experience working with Boards of Directors, committees, and/or in the not-for-profit sector, and understand board governance and how volunteer leadershipoperates; and/or

  • You have a Digital Event Strategist (DES), Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), or a similar event designation is an asset; and/or

  • You are bilingual in English / French (an asset), with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.


CompensationExpectations for the Role:

We believe in fair, transparent, and growth-focused compensation. Our salary bands are designed to ensure equity across roles (and internally), with most new hires starting at the lower end to allow room for development and progression. That said, we recognize and reward experience – strong, seasoned candidates may start higher within the band.


Salary:$72,000 - $87,000
