Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Worker Licence
• Valid OFA 1 Certificate
• Ability to stand, walk, and conduct foot patrols for extended periods
• Ability to respond to emergencies and make sound decisions in high-stress situations
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments (indoors and outdoors)

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations in a reasonable manner.
• Utilize tact and diplomacy while interacting with patrons, clients, and unauthorized individuals.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arrive.
• Maintain and enforce access control procedures, including managing trespassers and unauthorized persons in a fair and safe manner.
• Conduct periodic foot patrols of the property to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and identify potential risks or incidents.
• Investigate incidents and occurrences and draft detailed incident and occurrence reports.
• Maintain a detailed memo book and ensure accurate reporting on all matters.
• De-escalate emergency and crisis situations using sound judgment and communication.
• Assist emergency responders and law enforcement personnel as required.
