Job summary

Guardteck Security in Victoria, BC, is seeking a Security Guard for a retail property. You will patrol the site on foot, enforce standards, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role requires a valid BC Security license and OFA 1, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm in emergencies. We offer a supportive team and opportunities for growth within a trusted Canadian security provider.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and patrol by foot for extended periods (8-12 hours).
• Valid BC Security license and OFA 1 certificate required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support until professionals arrive.
• Maintain and enforce access control procedures and conduct periodic patrols.
