Job summary

Giant Tiger Wholesale in Johnstown, Ontario, is hiring a permanent Warehouse Container Associate for our 660,000 square foot distribution centre. The role focuses on unloading containers, handling cases, and ensuring accurate pallet configuration.

You will lift boxes up to 50 pounds, work in a busy, loud environment, and follow OSHA/WHMIS standards. The position runs Friday to Tuesday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm, with benefits including health, paid time off, and store discounts.

Qualifications

• Capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs and repetitively lifting heavy objects throughout shift.
• Able to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment and in hot or cold conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Unload containers to the specified configuration of cases per layer on the pallet as per the purchase order.
• Lift boxes weighing 1–50 pounds repeatedly during the shift.
• Segregate boxes by item number and interlock cases on pallets and secure with tape or shrink wrap.
• Identify and report quantity variances and damages to the Receiver.
• Perform various warehouse duties as directed by the supervisor.
