Job summary

Giant Tiger Wholesale in Johnstown, ON is seeking an Evening Receiver for our distribution centre. You will unload goods, verify ASN accuracy, and enter data into our systems. The role includes on-site benefits, a store discount, and career growth opportunities.

Receiver Job Highlights

• Unloading of goods in a safe and efficient manner using a counterbalance or low lift forklift
• Verify items received for accuracy against purchase orders (ASNs)
• Report quality variances and ensure accuracy in the type and quantity of received product
• Enter product information into computer systems
• Assign active pick locations for new products
• Apply License Plate Numbers (LPNs) verifying physical quantity of merchandise with quantity indicated on the ASN
• Clearly sign all transport documentation and indicate any discrepancies
• Complete non-compliance for vendors who do not follow GTW’s shipping standards

Receiver Job Requirements

• Familiar with material handling equipment
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated; ability to work without direct supervision
• Experience with or a basic understanding of personal computer is required
• Voice picking or Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMOS) experience is an asset
• Willingness to be trained on the operation of a forklift machine
• Receiving experience is an asset

Sunday to Thursday 2:30pm - 11:00pm
