Job summary

Giant Tiger Wholesale is seeking a permanent Warehouse Order Picker for our Johnstown, Ontario distribution centre. You will pick orders to supply over 270 Giant Tiger stores across Canada and operate an electric pallet truck to fulfill orders.

You will complete three days of paid machine training, earn an hourly wage of $20.48, and benefit from health benefits, a store discount, and a profit-sharing plan. Role requires flexibility for overnight shifts (10:00 pm–6:30 am) and a strong safety

Qualifications

• Experience with voice picking or warehouse management systems is a plus.
• Able to operate an electric double pallet truck or similar machine.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders to supply Giant Tiger stores across Canada.
• Pile boxes onto skids ensuring safe, accurate organization.
• Lift 1–50 lb boxes repeatedly while following safety guidelines.
• Operate an electric pallet truck to fulfill orders efficiently and safely.
• Match picked skids with outbound license plate numbers (OLPNs).
• Certify inventory accuracy and ensure orders are shipment-ready on time.

Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent Warehouse Order Picker for our 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, Ontario! What You’ll Be Doing:

Pick orders to supply over 270 Giant Tiger stores across Canada with their inventory

Pile various sized boxes onto skids ensuring safe, secure, and accurate piles

Lift boxes repeatedly with a weight range of 1-50 pounds while maintaining strict Health and Safety guidelines

Drive an electric double pallet truck around the warehouse to fulfill orders with a focus on safe and efficient operation

Identify and match picked skids with outbound license plate numbers (OLPNs) provided with the order

Certify accuracy for all picked inventory and ensure orders are ready for shipment within set deadlines

Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area

Support other departments as directed by the supervisor

What You'll Bring:

Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards

Capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs and repetitively lifting heavy objects throughout shift

Comfortable in a noisy, fast‑paced environment

Punctual, adaptable, and strong attention to detail

Able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

As part of your onboarding, you will be required to complete three days of paid machine training and successfully obtain in‑house certification. Successful machine certification is a mandatory condition of employment as it is an occupational requirement.

Assets You May Have:

Experience with Voice Picking or Manhattan Warehouse Management System

Experience driving an electric double pallet truck or similar machine

Experience in a warehouse environment

Class G2 or higher driver's license

When You'll Work:

Monday to Friday 10:00 pm - 6:30 am

Hourly Rate $20.48
