Job summary

FedEx Canada is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to promote a Safety Above All culture and manage daily sort operations and Cargo Handlers within a FedEx Express station.

You will lead and mentor staff, ensure proper handling and routing of packages, and resolve service issues while adhering to FXE policies and regulatory requirements. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule with evening shifts in Drummondville.

Qualifications

• College degree
• 2 years FedEx sort operations or senior level hourly role experience OR
• 2 years supervisory experience in related industry
• Must possess valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• EXCEL Leadership Development Stream (Preferred)
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment
• Complete basic and recurrency training including DG certification
• Mentor, coach, and act as a knowledge resource for others

Responsibilities

• Promote the Safety Above All culture and manage day-to-day sort operations and assigned Cargo Handlers staff.
• Lead and guide employees in proper package handling, routing and recovery of service failures within the station sort function.
• Oversee all Cargo Handlers functions, directing work activities, mentoring and training, ensuring compliance with FXE policies and government regulations.
• Schedule and coordinate shift coverage and optimize sort processes to meet service levels.
• Address conflicts and drive continuous improvement in safety and efficiency.
