Job summary

St. Francis Elementary School in Richmond, Quebec is seeking a Maintenance Workman, Class II to perform cleaning, upkeep and light repairs for the school facilities. The position offers 38.75 hours per week (Mon-Fri), 2:15 pm to 10:30 pm, with a start date around October 2026. Salary is CAD 24.37 per hour, plus an evening premium of CAD 0.86 per hour.

Qualifications

• Fluent in French and English.
• Basic knowledge of equipment and minor repair work.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques.
• Able to work physically.
• Previous experience would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks aimed at ensuring the cleanliness of the premises and keeping equipment in good condition.
• Maintains floors, walls and fixtures and reports any issues to the principal.
• Assists with minor repairs and supports moving and handling of materials as needed.
