Southbridge Care Homes in Hanover, Ontario invites a qualified Registered Nurse to join as a part-time evening shift RN (2:00pm–10:00pm). The role supports medication administration, treatments and assessments and participates in multidisciplinary meetings to uphold nursing standards within our long-term care home.

The RN reports to the Director of Care and requires Ontario nursing certification, active or eligible RN registration, and First Aid/BLS.

Competenze

Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
Current First Aid and BLS certification.
Prior managerial experience in long-term care preferred.
Experience with cognitively impaired residents.
Knowledge of infection control practices.
Commitment to working with seniors.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or with others.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Organizational and time management abilities.

Mansioni

Ensure resident care follows nursing standards and physicians’ orders and policies.
Assess residents and develop, implement, review and evaluate care plans; monitor health.
Plan, supervise and evaluate work of nursing/personal care staff; orient/train new personnel.
Assist in preparing the Facility for RAI MDS.
Take charge in the absence of the Director of Care.
Staff replacement in the absence of the care clerk.
