Job summary

Factor_ is hiring a Production Team Lead in Calgary to build a high-performing team and drive food production safely and efficiently. You will execute directives from production and sanitation teams, and foster a culture focused on continuous, measurable improvements.

You will manage scheduling, communicate goals, train staff, and ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP and OH&S standards while maintaining quality and safety across all operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.
• 1-3 years in food processing, manufacturing or service industry.
• Team leading experience.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for prolonged periods with bending and walking.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to ensure raw materials, packaging, and consumables are in place to deliver the production plan on time and in full.
• Monitor delivery of the production plan and propose measures to improve productivity on the lines.
• Lead, coordinate and schedule activities of production associates responsible for staging, deboxing, prepping, cooking, portioning and plating.
• Communicate goals and monitor shifts, assess employee performance to daily production targets.
• Ensure production areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized throughout the day and after shifts.
• Train new associates on packaging machinery and safety procedures.
• Maintain PPE inventories and equipment, ensuring safety compliance.
• Communicate with Production and Facilities managers on progress and issues.
• Ensure waste streams are disposed of as instructed and train staff on procedures.
• Follow all safety guidelines and SOPs; work safely with chemicals.
• Support HACCP, GMP implementation and food safety standards.
