Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Licensed Diesel Truck Technician in Saskatoon, SK for a permanent role. You will maintain and repair a fleet of diesel trucks, diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

The evening shift runs 3:15pm–11:45pm, offering a stable schedule and strong benefits. Ideal candidates hold a Journeyperson or Red Seal, with hands-on fleet experience and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyperson or Red Seal Certification as a Truck and Transport Mechanic or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician.
• Experience as a Licensed Diesel Truck Technician in a commercial fleet, logistics hub, or heavy equipment dealership.
• Knowledge of provincial and federal CVIP standards and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a diverse fleet of diesel trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with diesel engines and transmissions.
• Conduct safety inspections and certifications in compliance with provincial transport regulations.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify fault codes and troubleshoot drivability issues.
• Maintain records of maintenance, parts usage and labor hours in the shop system.
• Road-test vehicles before and after repairs to confirm fixes.
• Collaborate with service advisors, parts staff and other technicians to ensure timely repairs.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and keep the workspace organized.
