United Rentals Canada is hiring a Diesel Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV) in Saanich, BC. This temporary full‑time role offers evening shifts (2:30 p.m.–11:30 p.m.), 40 hours per week, and a competitive CA$41.59 hourly wage.

You will join the Fleet team to service a wide fleet of vehicles and equipment. The position requires a Journeyman certification in Heavy Duty/Commercial Transport, a valid Class 3 driver’s licence with air brake endorsement, and related experience.

Formación

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Trades Qualification Certificate and Certificate of Apprenticeship in Commercial Transport, Automotive or Heavy Duty Mechanics.
• Four years of related experience including the apprenticeship experience.
• BC Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program Inspector’s Authorization Certificate; Certificate of Attendance for ARC/MIG welding or equivalent.
• Valid Class 3 BC Driver’s Licence with air brake endorsement.

Responsabilidades

• Perform journey‑level heavy‑duty and diesel mechanic tasks across a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Weld, maintain, and perform electrical work and body refinishing as needed.
• Diagnose issues with computerized scan tools and ensure compliance with regulations.
