Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Canada is seeking a Material Handler – Glass Insulated Units to support production. The role involves safely handling glass materials, verifying specifications, and maintaining a safe workplace under the Production Supervisor.

Shift is 3:00 PM–11:00 PM with a $2.00 shift premium for all hours worked. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, crane-assisted material handling, quality checks, and proactive collaboration with the team to meet production goals while

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to read and follow specifications.
• Commitment to safety in a physically demanding environment.
• Experience with material handling equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, sort, and stage glass using overhead crane and manual handling.
• Read and verify glass tags and specifications for correct material and setup.
• Inspect finished products for size, thickness, and quality; reject out-of-spec items.
• Follow safety procedures, including proper handling and disposal of broken glass.
• Maintain equipment and uphold department housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support production goals.
