Job summary

Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Surrey is seeking a Recreation Programs Assistant to supervise sport, recreation and intramural programs and events and to provide facilities supervision and administrative support for the Sport & Recreation department.

The role requires a university diploma in Recreation, at least one year of related experience, Standard First Aid & CPR, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and travel between campuses; it is a temporary part-time, on-site position with evening hours

Qualifications

• University diploma in Recreation or relevant discipline.
• A minimum of one year of recent related recreation programming experience.
• Standard First Aid & CPR.
• De-escalation Training is an asset.
• A minimum of one-year experience at a supervisory level preferred.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises sport, recreation and intramural programs and events that promote an active and healthy campus.
• Provides supervision of facilities and administrative assistance in support of the Sport & Recreation department.
