Job summary

EnerSys is a global leader in stored energy solutions. EnerSys seeks a Field Applications Engineer to support battery-buffered DC fast charging and energy storage systems in the field, collaborating with Service, Engineering, Operations and SRE teams.

Travel about 30%, including international locations. The role involves troubleshooting across hardware, software, firmware, networking, and data analytics, with a hands-on, cross-functional focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix and programming in C/C++; strong debugging skills.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics and diagnose electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve reliability of deployed battery-buffered DC fast charging stations.
• Collaborate with Enersys Service team to resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, firmware, networking, and system-level problems.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations into charger downtime and faults.
• Perform interoperability testing across vehicle manufacturers and charging implementations.
• Analyze logs, telemetry, and fault data to diagnose vehicle-to-charger compatibility issues.
• Develop diagnostic tools and automated tests for system validation.
• Document investigations, findings and corrective actions.
