The Educator will follow the school year calendar and build relationships with schools and homeschool networks.

This part-time role runs Tuesday to Friday with hours dictated by programs, guaranteeing a minimum of 10 hours weekly. The position emphasizes outdoor learning, safety, and community engagement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging environmental education programs at the Cowichan Estuary Nature Centre and in schools.
• Lead hands-on, inquiry-based learning focusing on ecology and conservation.
• Adapt content for different ages and curriculums; create inclusive learning spaces.
• Organize outdoor learning activities and coordinate field trips and events.
• Collect feedback and assist with promotional content and reporting.
