Join to apply for the Estimator-Project Manager role at Soconex Inc.

Reporting to the President and General Manager, the incumbent is responsible for directing, planning, and controlling the activities of assigned projects to ensure delivery to clients according to contractual requirements, deadlines, and budgets. The role includes ensuring contracts are executed as tendered and that each project's success and profitability are maintained in collaboration with the group leader.

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Estimation: Monitor the SEAO virtual plan room weekly, analyze project bids, verify feasibility, analyze documents, conduct site visits if necessary, and prepare bid proposals while ensuring compliance with laws and standards.
2. Project Management: Include projects in production schedules, approve technical documents, manage purchase orders and supplier relations, plan and schedule project activities, lead site meetings, ensure health and safety compliance, monitor project progress and costs, and maintain quality control.
3. Administrative and Other Tasks: Maintain documentation, communicate with clients and suppliers, prepare reports, and perform other tasks as required to support project execution and team efficiency.

Experience and Skills

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the relevant field.
• Deep knowledge of estimation, project management, and sector-specific laws and standards.
• Leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Office Suite and project management software (asset).
• Bilingual in French and English; valid driver’s license and vehicle required.

Education

University degree in civil engineering; PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
