Job summary

SERV-ALL Mechanical Services Ltd. in Calgary, AB is seeking a full-time, in-office BAS Estimator to join a growth-focused team.

You will prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for BAS projects, review drawings and tender documents, perform take-offs for controls and low-voltage systems, and coordinate with estimators, project managers, technicians, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Experience in building automation systems, HVAC controls, electrical estimating, or related industries
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and low-voltage electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Journeyperson Electrician certification or technical background in controls/HVAC is considered an asset
• Valid driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for building automation and control system projects
• Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Perform take-offs for controls, low-voltage systems, and related electrical components
• Coordinate with estimating manager, branch & project managers, technicians, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop project pricing
• Source and price materials, equipment, and labor requirements
• Assist with budgeting, project planning, and value engineering opportunities
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and customers
• Ensure estimates align with project scope, customer requirements, and company standards
• Support handoff meetings between estimating and project execution teams

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 40-44 hours per week
• Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
