Job summary

SERV-ALL Mechanical Services Ltd. seeks a BAS Technician to assist in designing Building Automation Systems and developing control programs. You will prepare shop drawings, test programs, and implement web graphics, collaborating with the Technical Lead to ensure proper function and quality across projects.

The role also provides service and support to existing customers, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, and programming adjustments, with potential overtime and site variation.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract (required).
• CET or C.Tech designation in HVAC or Controls is considered an asset.
• Journeyperson certificate in relevant HVAC, Electrical or Instrumentation field is considered an asset.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems or PLCs is considered an asset.

Job description

Reporting to the BAS Technical Lead, the BAS Technician will assist in designing Building Automation Systems that meet project specifications. Responsibilities include preparing shop drawings, developing and testing control programs, and implementing web-based user interface graphics. The BAS Technician will collaborate with the Technical Lead to ensure each control system functions as intended and that all work meets our high quality standards. The role will also include providing service and technical support to existing customers, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, programming adjustments, and responding to customer service needs as required.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) (Can vary from site to site)
• Overtime, out-of-town, and weekend work may be required
