Senior Estimator position for a large general contractor that operates throughout BC and the USA, working on high-rise tower projects.

About the opportunity

In this role, you will be working as part of a social team of estimators, specifically on high-rise tower projects for projects beginning preconstruction, with others due to begin at the end of 2025.

About the position

• Reporting to the construction manager, your duties will include:
• Gaining a thorough understanding of project requirements.
• Identifying and selecting metrics to generate accurate estimates.
• Conducting site visits to collect critical information.
• Completing project estimates, including site visits, quantity take-offs, pricing, and presenting findings to management.
• Analyzing data to generate forecasts.
• Performing ongoing trade risk assessments.
• Preparing comprehensive reports or bid proposals for submission to stakeholders.
• Managing trade tenders, qualification processes, scope development, and tender analysis.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key vendors and clients, including subcontractors and architects.

The Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in full life cycle estimating on high-rise tower projects in Vancouver.
• Proficient using Bluebeam and Planswift.
• Track record of working as part of a team of estimators.
• CPE or estimating qualifications are an asset.

Compensation

• $135,000 - $170,000 depending on experience.
