Job description

A well-known developer builder based in Vancouver is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead their estimating function. Strong pricing experience in residential high-rise, wood frame, and mixed-use commercial projects is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the estimating function within the company, collaborating with the development and construction teams from land acquisition through to construction commencement.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and material quantity surveys.
• Analyze project requirements and evaluate risk factors to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and industry professionals.

Education and Experience

• Approximately 8+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of estimating objectives, strategies, techniques, and construction contracts.
• Proficiency in construction estimation software and tools.
• Strong knowledge of class D pricing.
• Ability to analyze land acquisitions and pricing for constructability and profitability.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 DOE
