Job summary

Atlantic Packaging is seeking an Estimator at our Brampton, ON location. This on-site, full-time role focuses on preparing and selecting quotations for corrugated packaging projects, collaborating with design and production teams.

You will gather material and construction details, communicate requirements to vendors, and present pricing to management and customers. Strong mathematical and Excel skills are essential; post-secondary education is required.

The Opportunity

We are looking foran Estimatorfor ourBramptonlocation. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, this positionis responsible forpreparing and selecting acceptable quotations for projects within the Corrugated operations.

What you'll do

• Prepare estimates of costs and pricing for projects via interface with design and production
• Responsible for gathering information and documentation relevant to the look, materials and construction of a project
• Communicate project component requirements to appropriate vendors, including verbal discussion and a hard copy of documentation transmissions
• Present project/item pricing to management for sign-off, and to Sales and/or the customer
• Ensure the integrity of records supporting estimates of costs and pricing levels for individual projects
• Compile an analyze vendor quotations, clarifying any outstanding issues
• Select acceptable quotations among bids for individual component business, post elements to estimation worksheet for cost accumulation
• Project pricing determination, review findings and quotation proposal with supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring

• Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in a related discipline or equivalent training and experience in Estimating
• Strong mathematical and accounting skills, and capable of understanding production/machine capability and tolerances
• Excellent analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills including strong verbal and written communication
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize in a fast paced environment
• Advanced level Excel skills preferred
