Job summary

Atlantic Packaging Brampton is seeking an Estimator to prepare and select quotations for corrugated projects. You will interface with design and production, gather materials data, and communicate pricing to management and customers.

The role requires a post-secondary diploma/degree in Estimating or related discipline, strong math and accounting skills, and excellent analytical and communication abilities. Proficiency in Excel is preferred and multi-project management is essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in Estimating or related discipline or equivalent training/experience.
• Strong mathematical and accounting skills and understanding of production/machine capability and tolerances.
• Excellent analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills including strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
• Advanced level Excel skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of costs and pricing for projects via interface with design and production.
• Gather information and documentation relevant to look, materials and construction of a project.
• Communicate project component requirements to vendors, including verbal discussion and documentation transmissions.
• Present project/item pricing to management for sign-off, and to Sales and/or the customer.
• Ensure the integrity of records supporting estimates of costs and pricing levels for individual projects.
• Compile and analyze vendor quotations, clarifying any outstanding issues.
• Select acceptable quotations among bids for individual component business, post elements to estimation worksheet for cost accumulation.
• Project pricing determination, review findings and quotation proposal with supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Estimator for our Brampton location. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, this position is responsible for preparing and selecting acceptable quotations for projects within the Corrugated operations.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare estimates of costs and pricing for projects via interface with design and production
• Responsible for gathering information and documentation relevant to the look, materials and construction of a project
• Communicate project component requirements to appropriate vendors, including verbal discussion and a hard copy of documentation transmissions
• Present project/item pricing to management for sign-off, and to Sales and/or the customer
• Ensure the integrity of records supporting estimates of costs and pricing levels for individual projects
• Compile an analyze vendor quotations, clarifying any outstanding issues
• Select acceptable quotations among bids for individual component business, post elements to estimation worksheet for cost accumulation

What You’ll Bring
