RWC in Surrey, BC is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead the estimating department, drive process improvements, and ensure competitive, profitable bids from initial takeoff to tender submission.

You will mentor estimators, manage bid strategy, and coordinate with operations to achieve seamless handoffs on high-profile commercial projects. This role offers leadership responsibility and growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience managing estimating teams.
• Extensive experience in commercial steel stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and related interior systems.
• Strong understanding of contracts, specifications, tender documents, and procurement processes.
• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent tenders and bid deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop estimating teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, mentor, and develop the estimating team.
• Oversee tender opportunities and coordinate estimating resources.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and tender requirements.
• Lead bid strategy, bid/no-bid decisions, and final estimate reviews.
• Review and challenge estimates to ensure scope coverage and profitability.
• Modernize estimating procedures, workflows, and standards.
• Strengthen collaboration between estimating and operations for smooth handoffs.
