Job summary

The Wickaninnish Inn, a Relais & Châteaux property on Vancouver Island, invites an Esthetician to join our Spa Team. You will perform facials, peels, body treatments, manicures and pedicures, and contribute to a world-class guest experience with strong retail recommendations.

Ideal candidates have at least 1,000 hours of training, a minimum of 1 year in health and wellness, and exceptional customer service abilities. Evening and weekend availability is required to support guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1,000 hours of training and education from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 1 year experience in health and wellness, resort or destination spa is an asset.
• Exemplary customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide relaxation-based skin treatments including facials and peels and other body treatments.
• Perform manicures, pedicures and hair removal as part of spa services.
• Conduct client consultations and tailor treatment plans and product recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitize tools and work areas per health regulations.
• Stay updated on skincare trends to offer elevated services.

Estheticians are a key part of the service delivery team at the Ancient Cedars Spa. By offering relaxation-based treatments, our Therapists and Practitioners pamper our guests and add to their world class memorable experience at the Wickaninnish Inn. Estheticians are to perform a variety of treatments such as manicures, pedicures, facials, and body treatments, as well as participate in our retail product sales program.

As an Esthetician you will:

• Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards.
• Provide Skin Treatments: Administer facials, peels, and other relaxation-based skin treatments tailored to clients' specific needs to enhance their appearance and promote healthy skin.
• Conduct Consultations: Assess clients' skin conditions, discuss skincare goals, and recommend personalized treatment plans and products.
• Perform Hair Removal: Utilize techniques such as waxing, threading, and laser treatments to remove unwanted hair from various body parts.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are sanitized and comply with health and safety regulations to provide a safe and hygienic environment.
• Stay Updated on Trends: Continuously update knowledge on the latest skincare products, techniques, and industry trends to provide elevated services and recommendations.

• Minimum 1 year experience in the Health and Wellness Industry, Resort or Destination Spa experience would be an asset.
• The ability to make a commitment to the position for a mutually understood and agreed upon period of time.

Salary/Wage: 25–35% commission on services, plus 10–15% retail commission, paid monthly
