Job summary

Oxford International Toronto is seeking an enthusiastic English as a Second Language Teacher to help adult learners improve their English and achieve academic and professional goals. This full-time role runs from November 30, 2026 to June 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, record-keeping, and progress assessments within the VLC system. Applicants should have a TESL or CELTA certification, proven ESL experience with adults, strong English

Qualifications

• TESL or CELTA certification.
• Proven experience teaching English as a Second Language to adult learners.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Teach and prepare lessons as scheduled, adhering to OI standards and policies.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans and record on the VLC by Friday noon.
• Maintain student records and class binders, update VLC with progress.
• Manage materials, supervise classes, and ensure English usage per rules.
• Conduct weekly 1-2-1 meetings and bi-weekly tutorials, recording notes.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other duties as required.
