British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate to support ESG integration and stewardship in its Victoria office. You will collect data, analyze ESG performance, and assist in proxy voting and client reporting within CM&CI.

The role offers hybrid work in Victoria, with in-person collaboration and occasional remote work. Strong analytical skills and ESG interest are essential for driving responsible investing across global portfolios.

Qualifications

• Relevant university degree complemented by research/industry experience.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a financial organization for Senior Analyst level.
• 3-5 years’ experience for Associate level with knowledge of pension funds.
• Interest in ESG issues and understanding of risk/return impacts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with AI tools.
• Familiarity with investment software applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet tight timelines.
• Attention to detail and initiative to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Researches and extracts data from various sources and platforms.
• Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis of ESG performance and benchmarking.
• Reviews proxy voting decisions and supports engagement with portfolio companies.
• Assists in ESG reporting and client documents.
• Maintains digital files and team databases; performs occasional admin tasks.
