Now, with 33 retail locations across Canada and more on the way, Surplus Furniture and Mattress Warehouse is looking to add a motivated and forward-thinking ERP Administrator to its growing team in Barrie Ontario.
The successful candidate will assist in leading the development and implementation of the company’s new business software platform and delivering innovative processes and data integration solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with an extensive understanding of business processes and ERP capabilities including Customer Relations Management (CRM), Sales, E-commerce, Accounting, Supply Chain and Inventory Management to meet the unique needs of the business.
Essential Role, Activities, And Responsibilities
· Assist in leading all aspects of the buildout and implementation with third-party vendor and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Python-based applications and solutions.
- Work with external partners to integrate with other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
- Assist in developing process flows and ensure the ERP system is optimized to meet business needs.
- Assist in developing architectural blueprints and oversee the implementation of the solutions.
- Conduct system analysis and propose improvements to optimize the performance and efficiency of the solutions.
- Assist in managing application security architecture to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
- Analyze business practises to identify process improvements and provide guidance on best practices.
- Facilitate discovery sessions to define business needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and oversee their execution through internal and external resources.
- Ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution throughout the implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate applications with other systems and databases
- Act as the primary escalation point for functional gaps, change requests, and process alignment.
- Support data migration, integration testing, and organizational readiness efforts.
- Review and validate functional designs, test plans, and UAT scripts.
Post Implementation Responsibilities:
- Assist in training and development of upper management on newly developed processes with new business platform.
- Collaborate with upper management to define, prioritize, and deliver system enhancements, automation, and reporting needs across all platforms.
- Manage platform performance, functional integrity, user access, and compliance with internal practises and standards.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Minimum 5 years experience with Python code/development.
- Minimum 5 years experience with ERP systems including upgrades or support roles.
- Strong background in ERP functional areas, particularly sales, accounting and inventory management.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing ERP teams, outsourced developers and BSA’s.
- Proven ability to interpret business needs and translate them into effective ERP configurations and workflows.
- Extensive knowledge of ERP capabilities and system integrations.
- Experience with system administration and role-based security in ERP Systems.
- Experience with integrations to third-party APIs.
- A degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field is an asset.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
