Job summary

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on a temporary part-time maternity leave.

The role includes ED triage, medication administration, collaboration with physicians and staff, and readiness for Code Orange emergencies. Requires Ontario RN, BLS/ACLS, IV and CPR, with 2+ years acute care experience. Shifts include days/evenings/nights; compensation is CAD $41.15–$58.98 hourly.

Qualifications

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current IV certification, including management of central lines.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients using CTAS guidelines and initiate emergency care.
• Administer medications, treatments and diagnostics per physician orders and directives.
• Assist in emergency procedures, trauma response andCode orange readiness.
• Collaborate with physicians and teams on patient care planning and documentation.
• Engage in quality improvement and maintain emergency nursing competencies.
• Ensure stock and supplies are managed; perform other duties as assigned.
