Job summary

Royal Victoria Reginal Health Centre (RVH) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in the Emergency Department on a part-time basis. You will assess and care for both adult and pediatric patients within a high‑volume, multidisciplinary ED, delivering safe, compassionate care in alignment with RVH policies and professional standards.

The role requires current RN registration in Ontario, a minimum of 1 year emergency or acute medical nursing experience, and relevant certifications

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• 1 year experience in emergency or acute medical nursing.
• Coronary Care Level 1, arrhythmia interpretation competency.
• Current BCLS and ACLS course, TNCC/PALS preferred.
• ENCC or Emergency nursing certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Collaborate with physicians, RPNs, social work, and other team members.
• Provide quality patient care in line with RVH policies and CNO standards.
• Perform essential duties including lifting/moving patients as required.
