Job summary

St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry's Bay, Ontario, is seeking Registered Nurses for the Emergency and Medical Unit to provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced setting.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must hold current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, ACLS and BCLS, with strong clinical skills and a commitment to ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Current registration and a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• ACLS certification
• 12 Lead ECG interpretation and Coronary Care
• BCLS certification
• Certification requirements for Delegated Controlled Acts
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Recommended
• Strong clinical skills
• Excellent problem solving
• Commitment to continuing education
• Experience in Medical Therapies, Palliative Care and Geriatric nursing is essential

Responsibilities

• Functions in accordance with the Nursing Act and professional standards
• Meet College of Nurses of Ontario standards and hospital policies
• Maintain competence through professional development and QA program
• Uphold hospital ethical values and beliefs
• Apply nursing knowledge to clinical practice
• Demonstrate leadership to provide best care to patients/public
• Participate in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives
• Adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures
