Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Scarborough, Ontario, is seeking a dependable Animal Care Attendant to join our 24/7 ER/ICU team. This full‑time role contributes to efficient daily hospital operations.

You will care for patients, keep enclosures clean, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for patients and pet parents. A VA certificate or equivalent experience is preferred; we value calm, compassionate team players who learn quickly.

Qualifications

• VA certificate or equivalent clinical experience is considered an asset.
• Stay calm, gentle, and adaptable under pressure in fast-paced medical situations.
• Willingness to learn and support the veterinary team with daily treatments.

Responsibilities

• Caring for patients: feeding, walking, and offering a gentle voice of assurance.
• Ensure animal housing/enclosures are clean, sanitary and comfortable.
• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for patients and pet parents.
• General housekeeping duties in pet holding areas and common areas.
