Job summary

Total Power Limited in Calgary, AB seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee equipment and material procurement, submittals, and commissioning for power and automation projects. You will coordinate across engineering, procurement, and field teams to meet schedules and budgets, ensuring customer satisfaction.

The role requires a strong technical background in electrical installations, familiarity with CSA standards, and excellent communication with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of project management experience.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; MS Dynamics 365 will be preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with regulatory officials, clients, and suppliers.
• Strong technical background in electrical installations, power, lighting, control systems; understands cross-functional roles.
• Familiarity with CSA standards and Canadian codes.
• AutoCAD experience is an asset.
• Willingness to travel and be on call during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities through technical review, drawings, procurement, and commissioning.
• Review customer technical specifications and drawings.
• Define scope of work and execution plans for projects.
• Set project schedules and milestone dates.
• Track issues and resolve project problems.
• Decide on technical issues and manage project costs to preserve gross margin.
• Prepare final cost analysis after project completion.
• Monitor costing and report deviations from quotes.
• Serve as primary liaison with customers for site meetings and support.
• Manage internal and external relationships across projects.
• Oversee submittal/approval packages for customer and consulting engineer reviews.
• Update drawings, BOMs, schematics and change items as required.
