Job summary

The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking an Equipment Operator for the Pavement Marking/Provincial Signs Crew. The role requires operating heavy, medium, and light-duty highway maintenance equipment, performing routine servicing, and maintaining records.

Strong safety focus and ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Responsibilities include pavement marking, sign installation, winter maintenance, and supporting traffic control and work-zone setup across varied weather

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operating highway maintenance equipment.
• Ability to operate heavy, medium, and light-duty equipment.
• Experience performing routine maintenance and keeping records.
• Familiarity with electronic systems used in highway operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for pavement marking, sign installation, highway maintenance, and snow and ice control.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with traffic control and work zone setup.
• Maintain records of operation and maintenance.
• Support safe and efficient highway operations; travel and overnight stays may be required.
