Job summary

Magnum Services in Alberta seeks an Equipment Operator to operate and maintain a range of heavy equipment in earthwork projects, road construction, and site development. You will follow procedures, conduct pre-shift checks, and support other service lines during off-season.

This safety-sensitive role requires a valid Class 5 license, physical stamina, willingness to travel for up to two weeks, and a commitment to safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s license (Class 5).
• Physically capable of moving heavy objects and enduring outdoor work in all weather.
• Willing to travel for assignments, potentially up to two weeks at a time.
• Able to work long hours (15 days on, 6 days off) including overtime.
• Strong attention to safety protocols and site guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (dozers, reclaimers, packers, skid steers, and related earthwork machinery).
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and site-specific guidelines.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials.
• Collaborate with the site Supervisor to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain equipment logs and maintenance records using mobile apps.
