Role Description

The Equipment Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Regina, SK. This role is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to support earthmoving, grading, site preparation, land development, forestry mulching, and seasonal snow and ice management. Day-to-day tasks include operating machinery such as excavators, loaders, and forklifts, performing basic equipment inspections, and reporting maintenance needs. The Equipment Operator will follow site plans, grade specifications, and safety protocols, work closely with supervisors and crew members, and help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient job site. The role requires consistent adherence to safety standards, accurate execution of work, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Equipment Operation and Heavy Equipment skills for safe and efficient use of machinery on various job sites.
• Candidates should possess Equipment Maintenance skills to conduct routine inspections, basic repairs, and ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Candidates should possess Excavation skills to perform digging, trenching, and grading according to project specifications and site plans.
• Candidates should possess Forklift Operation skills for safe loading, unloading, and material handling when required.
• Candidates should have a solid understanding of construction site safety practices and the ability to follow company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Candidates should demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Relevant certifications or licenses for heavy equipment and forklift operation are preferred.
• Previous experience in earthmoving, construction, or land management is an asset.
