Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is hiring an Agricultural Equipment Operator to operate and maintain farm machinery, including sprayers and floaters, and to handle seed, fertilizer and chemical loading.

The role requires farming experience or work with agricultural equipment, mechanical repair skills, and a valid Class 1 license with air brakes. The successful candidate will maintain equipment and keep the yard organized, in all weather conditions.

Your Team

Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.

As an Equipment Operator, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining agricultural equipment.

Day to Day

• Transportation and application of crop protection products
  • Sprayer Operator: Responsible for loading the sprayer tank and ensuring proper cleaning
  • Floater Operator: Operate the floater safely to apply products
• Handle the loading and unloading of seed, fertilizer, and chemicals
• Maintain agricultural equipment through upkeep and maintenance
• Ensure the maintenance and organization of the equipment and yard

What You’ll Bring

• Experience working on a farm and/or with agriculture equipment is required
• Experience in mechanical repair and general maintenance of equipment
• Valid Class 1 driver’s license with air brake endorsement and several years driving experience
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle physical demands of the position and work in all weather conditions
