Job summary

Town of High Level is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team. You will operate Tandem Trucks with trailers, Front-End loaders, Backhoes, Gravel/Sander/Plow Trucks and Street Sweepers, and assist with water and wastewater system maintenance.

The role offers a competitive hourly wage, a 40-hour work week, and comprehensive benefits, including health, vision, dental and pension contributions, with vacation starting at 15 days annually.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in operating heavy equipment.
  • Class 3 driver's license with air brake endorsement.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

The Town of High Level is currently accepting applications from motivated individuals for the position of Equipment Operator. Candidates with significant experience in the operation of heavy equipment and a Class 3 drivers' license with air brake endorsement are invited to apply.

Our Equipment Operators are responsible for the operation of Tandem Trucks with trailers, Front-End loaders, Backhoes, Gravel/Sander/Plow Trucks and Street Sweepers. Additional work includes the repair and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.

In exchange for your skill and hard work, the Town offers:

A competitive hourly rate of $33.49 - $41.19 per hour depending upon experience

A 40-hour work week and home every night

Comprehensive benefit package includes 100% premium paid vision, extended health, and dental. Health Spending account of $1,000 per year and Wellness Spending Account of $300 per year. Life and Critical Illness insurance and Long and Short-Term Disability coverage

Provincial Pension Plan with the Town contributing more than the Employee towards your financial future

Annual vacation commencing at 15 days per year
