Job summary

Paramount Resources Ltd. in Alberta is seeking an Equipment/Grader Operator to maintain gravel roads in the Kaybob Region. Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Coordinator, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and perform general maintenance on graders, and manage work orders in Maximo.

The role requires 3+ years of grading experience, a valid Class 5 license, and residence near Whitecourt or Fox Creek. Dispatch is from the Fox Creek office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years grading experience.
• Experience in grading and safe handling of equipment in an off-highway environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in general and preventive maintenance of graders.
• Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Reside in Whitecourt or Fox Creek, AB area or nearby.
• Grader dispatched from Paramount office in Fox Creek.

Responsibilities

• Maintain gravel roads in a safe manner for industry and public travel.
• Complete daily pre- and post-operation inspection walk-around.
• Identify potential maintenance concerns on equipment.
• Enter work orders into Maximo with details for planners/schedulers.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to prioritize work.
• Conduct general grader maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain parts list and inventory for general maintenance.
• Identify hazards and recommend improvements and efficiencies.
• Ensure operating and maintenance procedures are current.
• Complete detailed daily work tickets for invoice validation.

About This Opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Coordinator, the Equipment/Grader Operator will be responsible for maintaining roads in the Kaybob Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance of the grader including parts management to minimize downtime. The successful candidate’s shift will be (10/4) 10-hour days with the flexibility of working around weather days. Working overtime hours may be required.

Job functions will involve:

• Ensure gravel roads are maintained in a safe manner for industry & public travel
• Complete Daily Pre and Post operation inspection walk-around
• Express the knowledge and ability to Identify potential maintenance concerns on a variety of equipment
• Enter workorders into Maximo with details to assist Planner/Schedulers on equipment maintenance
• Work closely with Regional Maintenance Coordinator/Field Operators/Warehouse staff/ Maintenance Planners/Schedulers to ensure that work priorities are identified.
• Conduct general maintenance on grader to minimize downtime
• Maintain a parts list and inventory for general maintenance
• Identify hazards and complete recommendations for improvements and efficiencies.
• Ensure operating and maintenance procedures are reviewed and current
• Complete detailed daily work tickets for invoice validation

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years grading experience
• Experience in the grading and safe handling of equipment in an "Off Highway" environment
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must have accomplished a High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Experience in general and preventive maintenance of graders
• Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
• The successful candidate will reside in the Whitecourt or Fox Creek, AB area or in close proximity
• The grader will be dispatched from the Paramount office in Fox Creek.
