Job summary

United Rentals in Sherwood Park, AB is hiring a Heavy Duty Mechanic (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and minor repairs on rental equipment in a safe, professional manner.

You’ll work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems, document work orders, assist with equipment pickup/delivery, and contribute to exceptional customer service. High school diploma, valid license, 1–2 years’ repair experience and own tools are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• 1–2 years experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
