Job summary

Innovative Automation Inc. in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking an Epicor Kinetic Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure software solutions.

You will work with the Software Development group and stakeholders to deliver Epicor Kinetic customizations, Blazor apps, integrations, and automated processes. Candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience and strong skills in C#, .NET, Blazor, SQL Server, and Epicor Kinetic.

Qualifications

BS/BE in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software development.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure software using C#, .NET, Epicor Kinetic, Blazor, and SQL Server.
Create and support Epicor Kinetic customizations, dashboards, and automated processes.
Develop Blazor Server/WebAssembly apps, REST APIs, and SSRS reports.
Troubleshoot defects, implement enhancements, and integrate changes into the main codebase.
Evaluate new technologies and AI tools to aid development, testing, and documentation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide training as needed.
Maintain documentation and enforce security and confidentiality per policy.
Travel occasionally, including international assignments, as required.

Job Opportunity:

The Epicor Kinetic Developer designs, develops, integrates, and supports secure, maintainable software solutions that improve internal business processes. Working collaboratively with the Software Development group and business stakeholders, this position delivers Epicor Kinetic customizations, Blazor applications, integrations, reporting, and process automation while ensuring the safety, quality, performance, and timely completion of assigned work. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

What You’ll Do:

Research, design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and support secure, source-controlled software solutions using C#, .NET, Epicor Kinetic, Blazor, SQL Server, and related technologies.
Build and support Epicor Kinetic customizations, business logic, dashboards, queries, process automation, and integrations that improve internal business processes.
Develop responsive Blazor applications, REST APIs, backend database integrations, and SSRS reports.
Troubleshoot bugs, deliver enhancements, and integrate completed work cleanly into the main codebase using established development, testing, review, and deployment practices.
Evaluate appropriate technologies and use approved AI tools to support research, development, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and code review.
Collaborate with employees, customers, contractors, and management to gather requirements, communicate solutions, and provide training where appropriate.
Maintain technical documentation and protect confidential or sensitive information in accordance with company policies.
Follow ISO policies and procedures and ensure the safety, quality, performance, and delivery of assigned work.
Maintain current technical skills and travel occasionally, including globally, as required.

What You’ll Need:

Proficiency in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, LINQ, Entity Framework Core, Visual Studio, Git, and Azure DevOps.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database design and development, complex T-SQL, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Experience developing Blazor Server and Blazor WebAssembly applications using Razor components, routing, layouts, forms, validation, data binding, dependency injection, state management, authentication and authorization, JavaScript interoperability, testing, deployment, and performance optimization.
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JSON, XML, REST services, OpenAPI, HttpClient, SignalR, and Redis.
Experience developing and supporting Epicor Kinetic solutions using Application Studio, application layers, DataViews, data bindings, events, rules, reusable components, and responsive layouts.
Ability to design, optimize, secure, and maintain BAQs, updatable BAQs, dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, and referenced queries.
Experience implementing Epicor Kinetic business logic and process automation using BPM method and data directives, Epicor Functions, and scheduled processes.
Experience developing secure Epicor integrations using REST, OData, business objects, BAQ services, Epicor Functions, API keys, and appropriate authentication and authorization controls.
Knowledge of Kinetic application, menu, BAQ, user, group, and field security using least-privilege practices.
Ability to apply structured documentation, automated testing, code review, version control, deployment, and change-management practices to create maintainable, secure, and upgrade-resilient solutions.
Effective use of Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot, including clear prompting and critical validation of generated code for correctness, security, performance, accessibility, confidentiality, and compliance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of manufacturing and finance processes, including production planning, inventory, purchasing, order management, costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger workflows.

Education Requirements and Experience:
