Job summary

KGS Group is seeking an Environmental Technologist to join our Regina or Saskatoon office. You will work on varied environmental projects, mentored by our environmental team, contributing to site assessments and regulatory tasks.

You’ll perform soil/groundwater sampling, prepare reports, ensure ISO 14001:2015 compliance, and support environmental management systems across projects. A strong communicator and team player with field experience will thrive.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited technology program including CAD and design or environmental technology.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental technology would be considered an asset but less could be considered.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Candidate must be able to work independently as well as a team environment when required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail; accuracy is essential.
• Focused organization and time management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and strong writing skills.
• Understanding the importance of health & safety as a top priority.
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Preparation of CAD drawings.
• Field and site inspections, including coordinating and directing site contractor.
• Construction surveillance and reporting.
• Environmental surveillance and reporting.
• Preparation/production of reports, as required.
• Bench and field tests.
• Surveying skills are considered an asset.
• Willing to work extended hours when needed to meet deadlines.
• Related and miscellaneous activities as may arise.
