PRIMARY PURPOSE

To provide field services and collaborate with scientists, senior environmental professionals, and forensic experts on environmental investigation projects, offering consulting services related to environmental issues, including emergency response, spills, contamination, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), hazardous materials, and health and safety (EHS), in accordance with client assignments or directives from senior professionals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. First responder to new losses, assessing the site; some travel and outside work hours may be required.
  2. Manage project activities to completion, including assessing impacts, evaluating recovery options, supervising subcontractors, controlling costs, and resolving conflicts.
  3. Report to clients and keep management informed of developments.
  4. Ensure protocols are followed and reports are completed promptly.
  5. Identify and resolve project conflicts independently.
  6. Prepare budgets and review invoices.
  7. Monitor efforts and billing of third-party workers, such as consultants and contractors.
  8. Assist in the collection of field samples (air, water, soil, etc.) and submit them for testing.
  9. Maintain safety procedures.
  10. Follow established methodologies for project management and safety manuals.
  11. Participate in local marketing efforts.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  13. Document and maintain billable hours for services rendered.
  14. Gather detailed notes, photographs, and environmental measurements.
  15. Promote and market the company’s investigative services within the assigned territory.
  16. Partner with senior professionals on complex cases.
  17. Prepare inspection reports based on scientific findings.
  18. Follow industry-accepted methodologies for service delivery.
  19. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
  20. Assist and observe contractor work, interacting with clients and contractors accordingly.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Comply with company safety programs and standards.
  2. Exercise proper care and maintenance of equipment.
  3. Follow storage and safety protocols for equipment.
  4. Adhere to HR policies and initiatives.
  5. Meet or exceed productivity and reporting standards.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience
  • Three to five years of experience in environmental remediation, completing all project phases.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Understanding of current industry standards, regulations, and techniques for emergency response and IAQ services.
  • Excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, analytical and interpretive skills, problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects, work independently or in a team, and meet performance standards.
