Job summary

All Nations’ Healing Hospital in Fort Qu’Appelle seeks an Environmental Services Worker to join the Environmental Services team on Treaty 4 Territory. You will provide a clean, sanitary and safe environment for clients, patients, staff and visitors as part of an interdisciplinary team, reporting to the Head Environmental/Laundry Services Worker.

Cross-training to other departments is possible. This is a 2 temporary part-time (0.7) position starting November 15, 2026, with a wage of $18.89-$20.24

Qualifications

• Infection control knowledge and practice.
• Ability to work independently in a healthcare setting.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• WHMIS training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes/disinfects areas, equipment and floors according to procedures.
• Follows infection control, isolation techniques and universal precautions.
• Performs and documents daily, weekly, monthly and annual cleaning tasks.
• Cleans walls, ceilings, fixtures, furniture and equipment.
• Maintains floors and carpets; disposes of garbage.

Position Summary

Located on Treaty 4 Territory in the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley, the All Nations’ Healing Hospital (ANHH) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Environmental Services Worker to join the team.

Reporting to the Head Environmental and Laundry Services Worker, this position works as part of an interdisciplinary team and will be responsible for providing a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for clients, patients, residents, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will work within the Environmental Services department but may be cross trained to work with other departments.

Duties

• Cleans, sanitizes/disinfects all areas, equipment and floors according to established procedures and standard guidelines as per established work routines.
• Ensures infection control, isolation techniques and universal precautions are followed.
• Performs and documents daily, weekly, monthly and annual cleaning.
• Cleans walls, ceilings, fixtures, furniture and equipment.
• Cleans specific areas (e.g., operating rooms, labour and delivery, trauma rooms, laboratory, x-ray, offices, dining rooms, patient/resident rooms and items).
• Maintains floors dry/wet mop, burnish, vacuum, strip, seal and finish, auto scrub.
• Maintains carpets and mats vacuum, spot clean and shampoo.
• Collects and disposes of garbage.

Qualifications

• Grade 10
• Prior experience working in an Environmental Services department in the healthcare field.
• Knowledge and experience in infection control, isolation techniques and universal precautions.
• Ability to work independently.
• Basic computer skills.
• WHIMIS training would be an asset.
