Avenue.io Inc. is hiring for Alberta Health Services Environmental Services staff at the High Prairie Health Complex. The role focuses on cleaning and disinfecting clinical and non-clinical areas, restocking supplies, and operating cleaning equipment to maintain a safe healthcare environment.

Casual/Relief position with shifts across days, evenings, nights and weekends; base hourly wage $22.58–$24.68 plus an annual Remote Retention Allowance up to $3,000, payable hourly along with the basic rate.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Knowledge and operation of computers and smartphones.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift.
• Physically capable to lift up to 25 lbs and push and pull up to 50 lbs of force.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect clinical and non-clinical healthcare environments within a hospital or facility.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum; restock bathroom supplies; linen handling and bed making.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance and restoration; wash ceilings and windows.
• Empty hazardous waste; replenish cleaning supplies and linens.
• Identify hazards and report to Working Leader; may train Environmental or Laundry staff.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for a dependable, highly motivated individual for the position of Environmental Services (cleaner/housekeeper trained to work in healthcare) that is dedicated to both high-quality work and safety.In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Alberta Health Services currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

As an Environmental Services staff, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with cleaning and disinfecting clinical and non-clinical healthcare environments within a hospital or facility. Your typical duties may include sweeping, mopping and vacuuming; restocking supplies in bathroom facilities; stripping linen and making beds; operating industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance and restoration; thorough washing of ceilings and windows; emptying hazardous waste; and replenishing cleaning supplies and linens. You will also be responsible for identifying and reporting potential hazards to your Working Leader and you may also provide training or orientation to Environmental or Laundry staff.
